The Method

Whole-person support, because talk can only get you so far.

Grief and trauma don't live in our thoughts alone — they live in the body, shake our sense of meaning, and pull us into isolation. The method tends to all of it, across four pillars that form the spine of every offer at Oak & Willow.

How the work unfolds

Creating space for what has been held.

A guided experience to reconnect with yourself, process emotions, and move toward hope. We don't rush to fix anything — we create enough safety and support for what needs to be experienced, then gently integrate it into a meaningful life.

  1. 01

    Regulate

We settle the nervous system first — helping the body feel safe enough for everything that follows.

  2. 02

    Reconnect

Gently reconnect with yourself and what you feel, at a pace that honors where you are.

  3. 03

    Release

Create space for what has been held — letting what needs to be experienced be experienced, without rushing.

  4. 04

    Redefine

Integrate the loss into a meaningful life — redefining life and moving toward hope.

Mind — Live in the present.

01

Mind

Live in the present.

So much suffering is the past replaying and the future rehearsing. We work to free you from the grip of what was and the fear of what may come.

02

Body

Settle the nervous system.

Grief and trauma live in the body long before we find words for them. We begin by helping your nervous system feel safe again — through somatic awareness and breathwork.

03

Spirit

Reconnect to meaning.

Loss can shake everything you believed. Here we make room for meaning, belief, and a sense of connection to something greater than the pain.

04

Connection

You are not alone.

We are not meant to grieve in isolation. We tend the relationships that hold us and gently reduce the loneliness grief so often brings.

The four pillars aren't steps to complete. They're a circle to move within — at your pace, in your order.
